A job in the field of cybersecurity analyst can be a starting point in your career. It is usually an entry level job that is in high demand. All forms of companies look for these jobs, from governments to churches. The job is linked to social behaviors due to the people in the company on the network, and the biggest risks tend to come from the people.

As a cyber analyst, you don’t just defend the systems; you also defend the people who use them every day and all day. It is critical to understand how people act online.  So you may have to build training for recognizing phishing emails. Knowing what people may click on and teaching them to be cautious. Looking out for and preventing weak passwords, knowing that people may write them down or not change them regularly. The analyst my be installing patches in the hardware and software to prevent malware and intrusions. This may have you communicating with other employees who have less technical and cybersecurity knowledge. It is good to know how to talk and assist these employees.

The cybersecurity analyst is linked to social behaviors because protecting the network means understanding the people just as much as the technology. The job needs technical skills and critical thinking. Also, it is necessary to understand human behavior to prevent attackers from exploiting people on the network through social engineering or phishing. There is a need to network with people just like the network you are protecting to expand your knowledge of new attacks or what the company employs are noticing and make cybersecurity a continuous talk or environment in the company.
